Her older brother Travis has been very good about the transition. He had a little anxiety at the beginning as I don't think he knew she would actually move around! He is now a doting big brother and keeps checking in on her. He "reads" her books, shares toys and gently pats her hands.
Last night was the best night of sleep yet. We were only aware at 1:30 and 4:30 for 20 minutes each time... Much better than the first few nights.
Congratulations to MSO member Jake who also had a baby girl born last week. A day before ours! All babies and families are doing well.
One thing I absolutely LOVE about my online businesses is the ability to work from home. The extra time spent with the kids and Kathleen has been fantastic. Which brings up my next point...
Time For A Change?
Are you still working hard at your "real" job, Monday - Friday, 40+ hours a week?
Do you have goals of being able to leave that behind and have a better lifestyle? No boss, more money, and complete flexibility?
Why not set the goal of making 2007 the year of doing just that through your own membership site?
Think its only a dream? Far from it.
There are several membership site millionaires who come to mind that owe their new lifestyle to their sites.I know of several new membership site owners that this year alone are already looking to eclipse their "real jobs" salaries with their recently started membership sites.
Each person has their own goals. It could be to spend more time with the family or perhaps cruising around the country in a luxury motorhome. There's something great to be said for a lifestyle where the only major requirement is access to the internet.
So what's the best route to get there in 2007? Here are some tips:

Look for models of success to emulate - find out who is doing things right and learn from their tactics

Set finite goals - Kathleen and I set yearly goals for our businesses. It is a great feeling to review them at the end of the and find them met or surpassed!

Use the right tools for the job - Reinvest some of your profits in software, tools or advertising that will help take your business to the next level

Focus! - This is a big one that many people lack. They skip from project to project without focusing on maximizing the results from their efforts.

Take tangible steps each week - Don't fall victim to analysis paralysis. If you ARE going to fail on a project, do it quickly, learn from it and move on.

Congratulations to Ryan Lee
Speaking of changes in lifestyles due to their membership sites... Ryan Lee certainly comes to mind. He went from being a teacher in the Bronx (N.Y.) to owning a multimillion dollar online empire within a few short years. He's done pretty well for himself.
By the way, he no longer lives near New York city. He prefers the climate at his new home near West Palm Beach. Any guesses on how he funded moving there?!?
As well as things have gone for Ryan, they are starting to take off to an even higher level.

Free Cool Tool
David Frosdick from MemberGate's U.K. support team discovered this little gem.
Its a free program called "Snap Preview". By placing one line of code on a web page, it will then give previews of what links on the page go to. Its easier to see than explain so take your mouse and hover over this link (without clicking!):
I wouldn't over use the effect but on pages where you want to show off some links with previews, it can be pretty effective. Click here to see a good example of a page using the Snap Preview.
By the way, this little program is really taking off. In the 2 months since it was launched, already 30,000 sites have used it. Even more impressive it will be standard equipment on 600,000 Wordpress blogs! Now that's an amazing viral success.
