Tim Kerber's Membership Site Free Tips Newsletter
January 4th, 2009
============================================= Happy 2009! Still seems weird writing that and I'm sure it will
for a few weeks. You know what I am most excited about? Next year is 2010, as in "2010 a Space Odyssey" by
Author C. Clarke. That is a mind bending book about the future and
that's only a year away so it should be exciting! Hmmm... maybe its a bit premature. Sort
of like the book "1984". That took about an extra 25 years
but now appears to be starting to materialize ;-)
Speaking of 2009, a quick tip for this week: * Change the copyright dates on your web sites. Nothing like still seeing copyright 2002 (or 1999) to
have visitors lose confidence rather quickly. ________________________________________________
Want "to do Lunch" with me?

Last week I mentioned Tony Hsieh from Zappos.com and what
amazing customer service they are known for. I had first heard about Tony last year at Yanik Silver's yearly
Internet Marketing seminar. Yanik's event is the ONLY seminar that I make sure that attend. Its been
fantastic the several years in a row that I have gone. Yanik
does a great job of bringing together some very sharp online
marketers both as speakers and also attendees. I am confirmed to be going again this year and I'd love to
meet you down in Washington DC for it. For anyone who hasn't ordered yet, if you order through
this link and then forward me the receipt, I will take you
out to lunch on one of the days that we are down there: http://tinyurl.com/9vxcuu I already know several people going so it should be another
great group. 2 of the many speakers were also speakers
out our recent membership site seminar in Boston a few
months ago. Tim Schmidt and Carrie Wilkerson gave
some great info in Boston and they will be presenting new
information at Yanik's event as well as many other
speakers as well. Go check out the details here: http://tinyurl.com/9vxcuu ________________________________________________
Need a MemberGate Virtual Assistant?
_________________________________________________
This item is specific to MemberGate owners. We get requests from time to time for Virtual Assistants (VA's)
who are MemberGate savvy to help with an existing site. There is a small window of opportunity for a MemberGate owner
or two who is looking for a top caliber VA to help out with their
site. One of our part time support staff at MemberGate has recently
had some hours free up in his schedule. He's looking for a new
client or two. He is obviously very capable in MemberGate but also many
related skills as well (html, javascript, web 2.0 graphic design
and more). His hourly rate is $40 U.S. and its important to keep in mind
that due to his skill level, he is fast and efficient. You could
pay someone a bit less and hope they learn things or take
advantage of this limited opportunity to use someone who
is top notch. He could take on a handful of clients who are looking for a
few hours each week, or a bigger client who wishes to utilize
him for more hours each week.
If you are interested, please do the following: - Email support@membergate.com with the subject line:
"MemberGate VA" - Specify how many hours per week you would be interested
in having the VA work done - Let us know what tasks you are interested in having worked
on each week I don't expect him to be accepting more clients anytime soon
so please act quickly if you are interested. -------------------------------------------------
